Can music be too beautiful for comfort? The question seems pertinent for a long stretch of rare productions by Bolivian-American sound artist Elijah Crampton. Working under the moniker E+E, Crampton utilizes avant-garde and classical, cumbia and kuduro, latin folk, anime soundtracks, metal, and religious music, amongst other influences. Elements from all those roles surface in one way or another to create a new romantic maximalism with heavy emphasis on texture and dramatic harmony. Continually pushing boundaries of authorship, his compositional approach echoes that of a DJ, as fragments from disparate sources, both found and self-produced, are collaged into entirely new works.
M∞n is an electronic music producer as well as a co-founder of Cadence Collective. His music is intended to evoke a meditative mind state.
